NMMA Combining Selling Power of its Boat Shows with New Internet Lead Generation Website, BoatShows.com



Blending "online with onsite" gives advantage to boat dealers at NMMA shows

CHICAGO, May 6, 2009 - The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is taking boat shows online and bringing lead generation to its boat dealer exhibitors with the creation of www.BoatShows.com.



The website, being launched later this year, will provide the platform for individual lead generation applications that will be extended to all NMMA show websites starting this fall. The individual online lead generation applications will bring additional value to boat dealers who exhibit at NMMA boat and sportshows by allowing them to:


· feature the products they're selling at the show;

· obtain consumer-generated leads on a real time basis;

· and, schedule appointments to take place onsite at the show.


As an added benefit, boat dealers who exhibit at NMMA shows will be able to feature their current inventory, new and used, on the national website, www.BoatShows.com, helping facilitate leads year-round.



Online lead generation services will be provided at no cost to boat dealers who exhibit at NMMA shows. NMMA boat manufacturer members will also be able to use the service at no cost.


"Given current economic conditions, now more than ever we need to create a unique opportunity for boat dealers to help them sell more boats - period. Providing the additional ability to generate leads before, during and after the show is a real advantage for dealers who exhibit at NMMA shows," said NMMA's vice president of marketing and communications, Carl Blackwell. "We call it the NMMA Advantage. We're blending online with onsite - bridging the gap between the way consumers shop and search online with the crucial in-person, onsite experience of our boat shows."


Additional details on the capabilities of NMMA's www.BoatShows.com and its lead generation applications on individual boat and sportshow websites will be announced in early summer. NMMA is partnering with Channel Blade on all back-end programming. Channel Blade's lead generation and marketing automation products will enable broad NMMA member and NMMA boat show exhibitor participation through seamless integration with other industry platforms.
